Erbil,(GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Holly Vare, the newly appointed Consul General of the United Kingdom in Erbil today.
Prime Minister Barzani congratulated Consul General Vare on assuming her new post and wished her success in her duties. He reaffirmed his full support for her mission and underscored the importance of further strengthening the longstanding partnership and close relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom.
Consul General Vare stated that she was pleased to begin her diplomatic assignment in the Kurdistan Region and reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.
They also discussed the KRG’s reform agenda and its efforts to advance institutional development across all sectors. In this regard, the UK Consul General congratulated Prime Minister Barzani on the progress achieved in unifying the Peshmerga forces and commended the successful reform efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs.
