Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today received Elbrus Kutrashev, Ambassador of Russia to Iraq, on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Iraq.
Prime Minister Barzani thanked the Ambassador for his efforts to advance relations with the Kurdistan Region and wished him success in his future work. Both sides emphasized the importance of further developing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Russia.
Ambassador Kutrashev thanked the KRG for its cooperation and coordination in supporting the success of his mission and expressed his country’s readiness to strengthen bilateral relations.
In the meeting which was also attended by Maxim Rubin, Consul General of Russia in the Kurdistan Region, developments in Iraq and the wider region were covered.
